Praise God Almighty whose blessings and grace have made The Indonesian Heritage Trust and its partners maintain excellent and fruitful cooperation in safeguarding the Indonesian heritage starting from its establishment on August 17, 2004.This website shows us how strong the Indonesian communities have tried to preserve, manage and utilise our natural, cultural as well as cultural landscape heritage so far.The movement has started since 1990-s when we began the First Decade of Heritage Conservation (1990s-2003) that resulted to the formation of the Indonesian Heritage Conservation Network (JPPI) in the year 2000 as the embryo of BPPI, and later the joint efforts among conservation activists throughout the country in JPPI together with ICOMOS Indonesia and The Republic of Indonesia Ministry of Culture and Tourism launched Indonesia Charter of Heritage Conservation 2003. This followed by stronger cooperation in the Second Decade of The Heritage Conservation Movement implemented from 2004 to 2013, that resulted Indonesia Charter of Heritage Cities 2013 inaugurated by BPPI together with ICOMOS Indonesia, The Indonesian Heritage Cities Network (JKPI), and The Republic of Indonesia Coordinating Ministry of People Welfare and Ministry of Public Works. Now, we have embarked the Third Decade of The Heritage Conservation for People Welfare, starting from 2014 to 2023. Let us work together to safeguard the sustainability of the Indonesian heritage.
